Hey philip - I ran the online side of the radio group he worked for which meant working with CT for the breakfast show and the outdoor broadcasts. I'm not a satin-jacketed buggerlugged DJ, if that's what you're hoping!

I'm liking the exchanges with @olivier1 about CT, as much as the posts. "Satin-jacketed buggerlugged DJ".

@loboska One day I'll regale you with tales of the mighty Blackburn, Steve Penk and fat Foxy. Especially fat Foxy. ;-)

@olivier1 Doctor Fat Foxy? .....can't wait!

@philipnareike Foxy factoids Pt 1 #1: Got implausibly cross if called 'Dr'. So we did. Relentlessly. #2: Has a touching and unbreakable faith in the slimming qualities of a black t-shirt. #3: Refers to himself in the 3rd person more often than is healthy. #4: 'Hates' public attention when out and about so slowly rides around on an unmissable and stupendously hideous custom Harley about the size of a sofa. #5: Gets grumpy if asked to sign autographs. Gets even grumpier if not asked.

@olivier1 He told ME he was a doctor. I'll think twice next time I ask a medic about my tonsils.

@AlicejustMay You're lucky he didn't offer you his organ transplant services. Eek.

@olivier1 but I thought he specialised in hair transplants .....he did Pat Sharp's , didn't he?

@olivier1 .....talking of D. J.s ......it's quite well known around these parts that my dad was D. L. T's gardener back when he was the radio 1 breakfast Show presenter. .... But that's another story....
