@BladeRunner That teacher Herr Krankelsteiger? Herrrrheehehee ..... I can't believe that movie apparently topped the German cinema charts for weeks in 1970.. ..and 13 sequels! That's more than SAW! Great music though!
@kemiladashdot we would have broken the world record but were diddled out of it by the authorities who would only allow a maximum 6 plays per minute. The total stood at 266, but with all the 'lost' plays (759) that brings the real total to a massive amount, well over 1000.....so yes! We did it! (Unofficially). Record Breaker!
@philipnareike Is this true or are you just making entertaining stuff up? How do you know about 6 plays per minute, did you work that out or do you know people in authority?
@philipnareike I remember how I couldn't understand how my cassette radio could record the radio and not the voices in the room at the same time. The only other time I thought technology was unnatural was the fax machine. I couldn't understand how paper could travel down a phone line.
Still can't to be honest, but I no longer care.
@kemiladashdot I know the 6 per minute rule as I played it 6x which registered , then went back a few minutes later and it started registering again. Re: recording stuff badly...I remember trying to record my records without the use of a cable with the cassette recorder by the speaker ..we have it too easy these days ...
@kemiladashdot my best friend at schools older brother was a doctor who fan and religiously recorded every episode -pre- video- audio only via a cassette recorder perched near the television set - the entire family had to sit and watch every doctor who episode in utter silence! I still remember seeing his dr who cassettes all lined up on the shelf! Ha!
@MadameZia How awful. I actually imagined her cousin was female for some reason...I don't think you mentioned whether they were male or female. Did you know him well?
@MadameZia Yes, I know...it must have been a shock...they keep it well hidden...there was this bloke I knew not so long ago....I did some work for him...he ran a hairdressers, but was actually a builder ( I know that's weird already) ...well, to cut a long story short he was giving underage girls more than all over spray tans.....to be honest with you, I always thought he was a bit weird but you would never have thought he was that bad....he's now in Lewes prison.
