I'm fascinated by early electronic music, but had never heard of these guys before. Thanks for the introduction.

@DavidShepherd FYI Kid=Dik spelled backwards, Dick Raaymakers' first name and Baltan=Natlab spelled backwards, the Philips laboratory.

@dutchbeeblebrox Ah, thanks for that extra info. I assume the laboratory was in Eindhoven. As a kid in the 70's we went to Evoluon and played with all the futuristic technology like videophones, but I think the building's just a boring old conference centre now.

Excellent 'what if' idea! Actually, I've got a compilation CD "Rough Trade Electronic" which features some very early electronic musical experiments like this including the "Dr. Who" theme.

@DavidShepherd Yep, it's a conference center now but... in October 2013 the Evoluon was used to stage four 3D-concerts by the German electronic band Kraftwerk, each before an audience of 1,200 spectators. Key band member Ralf Hütter handpicked the venue for its retro-futuristic look. Bespoke 3D-visuals of the saucer section of the building descending from space were used in the live rendition of their track Spacelab. :)
