... and this time I started with the volume down. Adjusted up as it started, and not disappointed either. Sounds great. Will check out some more from this group.
Not even a little familiar with the band or Jeffrey Lee Pierce's story, but I love this and will definitely be listening to more of their stuff. Dare I ask how he died?
Okay, I read about it in a biographical write-up for the band. A brain hemorrhage after already suffering through health issues. That is pretty terrible. I'm loving everything I hear by them though. Kinda cool that he was once the president of Blondie's U.S. fanclub before forming The Gun Club.
@ssrock The diagnosis was a brain hemorrhage, but he was suffering from various diseases, like liver cirrhosis and hepatitis. He was an alcoholic and drug addict and eventually that caused his death. I've seen them live twice and the first time he was out of his head on stage. Still he managed to keep playing for quite some time. The second time he seemed to be sort of sober. The gigs were pretty intensive. Tragic! :( Anyway, glad you like it. I think The Las Vegas Story is their best album, but
Crikey! You need to be quick around here. I listened to your previous jam, Gravity (which I really liked) and wrote the above note. Just got to the end of my subscriptions, came back to the top and ... woops! So, this is an excellent track also, but quite different to Gravity. More Doors like in some ways.
@itskerryc Haha I didn't realise you commented on Gravity. Glad you liked that as well and yeah you're absolutely right: it's quite different. I never thought of this one being similar to a Doors song, but I understand what you mean :)

@itskerryc Too bad you missed my previous jam, you probably wouldn't have turned the volume up on that one haha. Glad you like this one.

@ssrock Fire of Love and Miami are very good as well.

Very tragic. Cool that you got to see them live a couple of times though and thanks for the recommendations. I've got them all saved to my queue.
