Teri Harangozó was born in Bátya, Hungary, on August 8th 1943. In 1965, she first appeared on the show "Ki Mit Tud?", and in 1966 recorded what would go on to be Hungary's first gold album, containing the popular song "Minden Ember Boldog Akar Lenni". She also participated in the 'Táncdalfesztivál', where, in both 1968 and 1969, she reached the second place with the songs "Sose Fájjon a Fejed" (featured in this Jam) and then "Szeretném Bejárni a Földet".

Her biggest hit, "Mindenkinek van Egy Álma," was released in 1968, and, in all, recorded around 100 songs, which appeared either as singles or on her four released albums. Abroad, she first starred with Terry Black, then, in 1970, sang 'flower carols' with singer Dániel Benkő, accompanied on the lute.

She became one of the most influential female artists in Hungary during her time, influencing many subsequent Hungarian singers, such as Kati Kovács, Zsuzsa Koncz and Sarolta Zalatnay, among others. In 1990, she also performed the finale of the 'Sziget Festival'.
