The ego has landed. Then, ballistically gone into outer space. Returning some years later as a creature called Ziggy Stardust. Mr Taylor went proper whacko. The cracked actor who played Ziggy nearly made it too. Thank goodness he didn't.
I prefer the Clash version too but this still fascinating
