@clickysounds I love it! Thank you for pointing me the way! It's a slightly brighter neighborhood than First Aid Kit's decidedly melancholy turf - which gets right to the heart of me - but awesome.
@pjcj I love To a Poet too, deeply. in fact it's been a long time since I've taken an album this personally. I blame being from northern Minnesota surrounded by Swedes (yeah, that's it). But Blue is - for me - in a class of its own.
@AndyWilkinson the thing I love about this and the thing that makes it kind of perfect for TIMJ is that it's a (slightly unrequited) love song from one music addict to another, about that longing to connect on the level of music. also - I've mentioned this before, but whatever - it's a nice bit of personal icing on the cake that all four of these singers - June, Emmylou, Johnny and Gram - were on the first mix tape my wife ever made for me.
@robbfritz welcome! Tristen put on a great live set in Austin for a tiny bar crowd not too long ago, and she's freaking adorable too. About 4'11 ball of energy... acoustic guitar looks massive on her.

Everyone who likes First Aid Kit should also give some love to "Tristen"... very kindred sounds.

I fully agree except ... I'd choose this and To a Poet (especially the last third).

Not really thought through my favourite albums of 2012, but this will certainly be up near the top. This is probably my favourite track off the album.
