Your ambivalence is understandable...this isn't the most melodic piece to hit the dance charts even. I liked the little girl although I sort of expected an "Oh yeah" from her!
All I can think about is how it made a perfect ending tune to the end of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." The little girl offering a gummy bear to the defeated principal.

I loved Yello - it was so very much of its time. Having said that, I have never seen this (scary) video ;)

The two things that come to my mind are Ferris Bueller's Day Off and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia XD
