Never been a huge fan of these guys, but I enjoyed this. Smiths-esque.

@bbionic glad you could dig it! I love the atmosphere of this song, it stands out to me as a DD song with just that extra something special.

@80sfan that is fascinating! I love stuff like this. So, what is your favorite track on Seven? (Union of the Snake is one of my favorite songs in general.)

altogether too little DD on TIMJ! thanks :)

@cello_m yes, anytime! I admit I've been on a bit of a DD binge as of late. Maybe it's just that time of year? :)

@savagetea Cool! I like "Come Undone," but never really got into their more popular tracks. Is there a particular album that's a good place to start with them?

@bbionic This is tough for me to answer! I love the Wedding Album, which is what Come Undone is from. But I don't think it's where you should start... I've been listening to 'Seven and Ragged Tiger' (where this song is from) all day. But again, maybe not the place to start. ...Probably 'Rio.' I love the second half of that album. Followed by Seven... but why stop there!? chase it with either 'Duran Duran' or 'Notorious!' :D

@80sfan nice picks! Now for the BIG question. Do you have a favorite DD album?! :)

I love Rio, it's the first DD album I heard. My favourite is Planet Earth with its awesome guitar riff.

@fraserhouston7 I was watching the video for Planet Earth just the other day. Simon's pants and dance moves are pretty stellar! hah

@savagetea Thanks! I listened to 'Rio' yesterday.

@80sfan ha! Stay strong, and don't let any tell you Medazzaland is a joke!

@bbionic nice! hope you find more tunes you like!

5 years, 9 months ago

bbionic

@savagetea Definitely! I was actually enjoying Medazzaland as well.

@bbionic oh, awesome! Fun fact - "Michael, You've Got A Lot To Answer For" is about Michael Hutchence from INXS. Maybe that's not so fun a fact... but there it is.

@savagetea Ha, I was just reading about that earlier. Apparently, Hutchence passed not long after the album was released; so yes, perhaps not fun, but certainly interesting!
