schmutzie’s year started strong with “High Up On the Hook” by Alice Russell, and the jams kept coming; 57 in total. Plenty of indie pop, indie rock, and singer-songwriters. They were the first, and only, to post “The Boatman's Call” by Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds. “New Slang” by The Shins got a lot of love. In August, schmutzie posted their 300th jam. schmutzie’s final jam was none other than “212 (feat. Lazy Jay)” by Azealia Banks.

2014

The year got going with “Wild One” by I am Harlequin. In June, schmutzie found it, their eternal jam: “Hanging On the Telephone” by The Nerves. There was a lot of electronic, indie pop, and singer-songwriters. schmutzie found a rare one: “Dark Path” by Isobel Anderson. People really liked “Ceremony” by New Order. schmutzie reached 250 jams in November. “Iron Sky” by Paolo Nutini closed out the year.

2013

schmutzie’s first jam of 2013 was “God Only Knows” by The Slow Show, and 146 more jams followed. There was a lot of Bauhaus, acoustic, and indie pop. They were the first, and only, to post “Half Awake” by Widowspeak. “Red Right Hand” by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds got a lot of love. schmutzie reached 100 jams in July. “The Wisp Sings” by Winter Aid closed out the year.

2012

In September, schmutzie joined This Is My Jam, and kicked things off with “T.B. Sheets” by Van Morrison. Nice. The year’s recurring themes? pop, classic rock, and folk. “When the Man Comes Around” by Johnny Cash got a lot of love. schmutzie passed 20 jams in October. “Tales Of Brave Ulysses” by Cream closed out the year.
