@silvershroud My favourites are still 'Closing Time, 'Swordfishtrombones, 'Rain Dogs', 'Orphans' and 'Bad As Me' but 'Alice' is the perfect album for a wet Sunday film soundtrack.
@silvershroud I have two close friends who refuse to listen to Tom Waits because; "it either sounds like a drunk Frank Sinatra or just weird jazz" and a very close friend who refuses to listen to Tom Waits on the grounds that; "he just sounds old". I need new friends!
@Bukowski I should say so! I feel your pain though, there are quite a few people in my life who refuse to recognize his genius too, as passionately as I advocate for him. Sigh...

Bukowski
A wonderful and highly underrated album.

@Bukowski I couldn't agree more. Dare I say my favorite Waits album? Just maybe.

@Bukowski Can't argue with those choices! It's criminal how many brilliant albums the man has released.

@silvershroud Our job is to 'evangelise' the Waits genius.

@Bukowski Amen to that!
