That's a shame....Grandaddy....what a great band! Great Jam, man!

@corcorankelly Fortunately, it was more a cleansing, cathartic kind of cry than a sad, mopey one. Something about those lyrics... simple, but so heavily profound. Thanks for liking!

Saw them in a tent at an early V festival. They were second on the bill to Ian Brown and he sounded well crap by comparison (or anyway). Loved their intensity!

@AFCGrimace I saw them at V as well and you're absolutely right. Grandaddy were great and Ian Brown was a bit embarrassing afterwards. Those were the days when the V festival actually had some really good bands on the line up.

@AndyWilkinson Do you remember Ian Brown getting half way through his first song and then telling his band to start again? We walked out pretty soon after that (that's the luxury you have at a festival).

@AFCGrimace What site were you at? We were at Chelmsford. I have a vague recollection of him coming on to the stage on a BMX bike and acting like a knob. We didn't hang around for long.

@AndyWilkinson Yeah. Chelmsford - don't remember the BMX though, but then I don't remember everything about that weekend.
