Hmm - his best album by miles for me... A few shows over here would be nice too...

@stellakoto I'm with you on both points

@StillHonest1 @yvonneslaven I do love this album though you really have to be in a certain mood. I really liked Modern Guilt too even if it wasn't a critical smash

This seems to be a marmite album - you either love it or hate it. I was in the latter camp mainly, but have to admit this is an utterly gorgeous song and the album was worth it for this if nothing else.

@AlicejustMay it's clearly more introspective as @CSC says than his other stuff but he also recorded a couple of acoustic campfire albums earlier in his career. I must admit I do prefer this sad stuff but who could resist tunes like devil's haircut either?

@simonp Yes - got the early albums. Got all the albums. Love Beck (Scientology notwithstanding) - but for me, Mellow Gold (my first discovery of him) remains the best. Though both Guerro and The Information are hot on its heels... they all have something special. Mutations is also amazing. I think the only really lightweight album he did was Midnite Vultures, though again, fab stuff on that too: Beautiful Way is the equivalent on that of this on Sea Changes for me.
