The other day I was driving to work with my iPod on shuffle, and this came on. A few things you should know: 1) I have a LONG drive to work -- it's over an hour; 2) almost all of it is out in the Virginia countryside, way off highways, out in the woods and farm fields; and 3) I leave my house at dawn and don't have coffee till I get there. It's a beautiful drive when the sun's coming up over the fog-filled hollows and golden green fields of corn and soybeans, but my brain tends to slip into autopilot mode a lot of the time. This song insinuated itself perfectly into that mental space, and it pretty much induced a trippy experience, no hallucinogens required. Very cool. If you want to read about the drama behind this song, here you go: http://www.soundsandcolours.com/articles/brazil/tim-maias-journey-into-rational-culture/. (P.S. -- Just a heads up; the track's 12+ minutes long.)
