Saw Adam Ant a few weeks ago as part of Record Store Day and thought he was a bit rubbish to be honest. Doesn't stop me loving this though.

A amazing mix of odd ingredients - still sounding unique.
Adam and the Ants. What's not to like? This is my favourite Ants track and I've been listening to it all week. An early hit from their 2nd incarnation and a single from the 1981 album 'Kings Of the Wild Frontier'. I like it because it is very accomplished, suggestive and innovative. It also sounds very urban to me . Adam Ant's songwriting has always explored many styles & teamed with Marco Pirroni, that sound was rooted solid. They won their Ivor Novello award for good reason. This track shows real innovation at work - spaghetti western guitar, the opening tribal sound fx, the trademark Burundi style drum parts, call and response between lead and band, the careful vocal harmonies. It's sophisticated rawness. It caught my curiosity on the first listen and years passing since have not dinted my love or interest one little bit.
A massively misunderstood artist who taught the world that "ridicule is nothing to be scared of" Adam Ant 'Dog Eat Dog'
