Transgender Dysphoria Blues by Against Me!
“Theme: Best of 2014 Every now and then an album comes along that puts a bands other works in a new light. Against Me! always had a strain of gender confusion in it's lyrics and when Thomas James Gabel became Laura Jane Grace what was thought to be metaphor became text. Punk and hardcore fans have been remarkably cool and embracing about it even though the music has changed enough that it doesn't speak to that same scene any more. This is a raw, deeply personal set of songs that is musically a bit more mainstream than their first three albums.”

I grew up with this band and we've both changed a lot. Glad to see they're still at it.

genius bluesy punk - killer winter jam
"Your tells are so obvious, shoulders too broad for a girl. It keeps you reminded, helps you remember where you come from. You want them to notice the ragged ends of your summer dress; you want them to see you like they see every other girl. They just see a faggot. They'll hold their breath not to catch the sick." Reminded of this song every time I leave the house lately.

You rock Tom Gabel
This is a lot more punk than I usually Jam. That's not a bad thing.
