#DogWeek A dog song from one of my favourite songwriters. I've never owned a dog but I've a story...When I was a little boy during the Summer holidays I was out adventuring in some woods a few miles from home with my best friend Lawrence when we found a labrador. She was in a state, under-fed, running around, bewildered....So we befriended her and took her home with us. We fed her and spent the whole day with that dog, imagining we could keep her as our own. Well, that never happened. My Mum called the police and told them about the dog we found...later on in the day we got a phone call and we were told that a labrador had been in a car crash and had ran away scared. They gave us the name of the dog 'Tammy'. That dog went crazy when we said her name. Okay, we never got to keep that dog but the joy that family had when they collected Tammy I will always remember. They gave us kids £5 each and a big box of chocolates ....Tammy...my dog for a day...   23
