She'd developed liver issues and hyperthyroidism and she seemed fairly fine, albeit much less active, through the treatments over the last few months but her condition completely crashed suddenly in the wee hours of the morning and she was in severe respiratory distress and we had to stop her suffering. I still can't believe she's gone. She was born in the attic of an apartment I lived in and was my companion from cradle to grave. She was my constant friend through many tumultuous times in my life. I know it was the right thing to do by her, but I have some dark days ahead. The music of my life has been greatly diminished. I will miss you dearly, my sweet little girl. This jam's for you.”

I heard this in the movie "Soldier's Girl" and fell in love with the movie and the song!
It was 25 degrees this morning in HOTLANTA. This song immediately came to mind.
