…and here comes a film soundtrack jam again (I just can’t help it). With a two-year delay (I was really—I mean really—busy), from Spike Jonze’s ‘Her’, a film that has stirred and shaken my mind like no other film has done before. A truly awesome, in the original meaning of the word, unbelievably emotional and fragile performance from the talented Mr Joaquin Phoenix, in this fantastically nostalgic, essentially sad, yet full of hope and positiveness, witty and subtle film, has left me in sobbing pieces, scattered all around, seemingly—in chaos… I’m trying, mostly by not trying, to put it all together again, with, hopefully, some more sense than it all had had until I watched it. I do not regret.
So, if you ever see this, thank you, Mr Jonze (and, of course, Mr Phoenix, Ms Johansson, Ms Adams, Mr Buchanan, all the people who have contributed to producing this film and, the last but not least, Arcade Fire, whose music fits there like a glove)… Sincerely.
