“I was planning on sharing a few more songs before my favorite site, This Is My Jam, shut down this week, but something about tonight seemed like the right time to post my last jam. Over 3 years, I've shared over 100 of my favorite pieces of music and created a personal playlist that represents me through the work of some of my favorite artists. The whole point of it was to say "trust me, this is actually *really* good" once a week or so, and I will always miss that. I can't possibly talk about "favorite artists" without mentioning this band. "Getting Away With Faking A Friendship" is by far the most-played song in my iTunes library, so I guess that would make it my "favorite song." I remember hearing for the first time, played live by a group of musicians that would eventually become my friends, and feeling like it was magic. To me, it just doesn't get any better than that. Thank you to the creators of TIMJ and to all the artists I love. I'll miss this site! #FarewellTIMJ”
