Not ashamed to say I also love the original!
This has exactly enough steeldrum. (Which is none, literally speaking, but infinity metaphorically.) I, um, still haven't heard the original. Confession: I first heard this out of context, and was disappointed when I discovered this was not an alto, but a tenor.
