Nobody in song portrays the horror of the Vietnam War better than he does in Goodnight Saigon (https://youtu.be/Qjzjhl-QztE), but this is an equally sad, but beautiful song about getting older and still feeling useful. #hopeyoulikeit #timj

this has always been my favourite Billy Joel song, but it also seems to perfectly describe my life as an ambitious but lost 23 year old. no other words can really capture it quite so well
