I'm late with this. I don't think Dave will mind. When I was 23, me and my two bestest pals, Dave & Jimmy, would kick a ball around on a Saturday afternoon, for the local amateur team. Rain (frequent) hail (often) or shine (seldom). As a reward for our sterling efforts, we'd have a couple of beers in the local tavern afterwards, discussing the finer points of our onfield trickery, or just laugh a bit, 'cos one of us had made an arse of ourselves. Then home for rapid-fire nosh & equally rapid preparation for an evening's entertainment of a tad too much alcohol & endeavours with the chicks on the dancefloor. This track was a particular fave & I still can't hear it to this day, without feeling like a bit of a shakedown. Synthpop glory. Last time I saw Jimmy, we spoke about it fondly. On January 31st, 2 years ago, our friend Dave was found in a field, believing in his tortured mind, that taking his own life, was the only option left. This then for you, fella.
