I ain't gonna work on Maggies farm no more ....
Yet another discovery from a few weeks back. I wanted to post the Specials version but, wouldn't you know it, no versions available. But the Bob Dylan version is just as great.

This year is the 50th anniversary of the Newport Jazz Festival where Dylan played his first electric concert. He started with this track. It's hard to understand nowadays why it created such a fuss.
So RIP #PeteSeeger A huge figure in American folk and civil rights. But this was the first song that I thought of. The story grew out of all proportion to serve the myth of Bob, Pete reaching for an axe to cut off the first electric outing of this song with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. So for one day only......
