So RIP #PeteSeeger A huge figure in American folk and civil rights. But this was the first song that I thought of. The story grew out of all proportion to serve the myth of Bob, Pete reaching for an axe to cut off the first electric outing of this song with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. So for one day only......

this man's songs have guided me through times in my life that have been tough to say the least, i post this jam on my final day off from work and tomorrow i will return to a job i hate. if anyone out there in the jamosphere can help my find another, better opportunity for a career you know where to find me. #tune

50 years ago, on July 24, 1965 Bob Dylan went electric at the Newport Folk Festival. It is considered one of the most important moments in rock and roll history.

Yet another discovery from a few weeks back. I wanted to post the Specials version but, wouldn't you know it, no versions available. But the Bob Dylan version is just as great.
