Visions of Johanna by Bob Dylan
“This brilliant reworking of one of Dylan's greatest songs from, arguably, his greatest album "Blonde on Blonde" blows me away. His vocal phrasing this time around is pure genius. As they say, nobody sings Dylan songs like Dylan. This is also one of my favourite Spring time songs! It's got some sun, some wind, hard patches of ice with a layer of gravel on top and a sense of having finally made it through a long, grueling ordeal.”

Blond On Blond, released on the 16th of May 1966, happy 49th!
"The closest I ever got to the sound I hear in my mind was on individual bands in the Blonde on Blonde album. It’s that thin, that wild mercury sound. It’s metallic and bright gold, with whatever that conjures up. That’s my particular sound."
~Bob Dylan (to Ron Rosenbaum – Nov 1977)
