“I caught a Roni Size show in Vancouver in '01. Not sure under what name they were touring as. It was in a grand old style theatre/hall, and a much better show all round that the boiler room at BDO AK the year or so previous. Roni and crew came up and sat near us in the stalls after their gig while the DJ played. When I made it to my feet for a boogie he smiled at me and said something like 'finally you're dancing'. A bunch of us had driven down that evening from Whistler, but I couldn't tell him I'd left most of my legs up on Blackcomb hill. Nor could I say I'd been a big fan for years and Reprazent was simply the best housework music ever. In any case he was a real gentleman, had a lovely smile and the twinkliest eyes.”
