The Boss got a little kid up on stage to sing this at his Cardiff gig, and it was heartwarming.
As has become my custom on this solemn anniversary, I'll spend some time today in remembrance while listening to Springsteen's 9/11 inspired album. I admit that it's still hard to make it through some of the songs without welling up, even over a decade later. Seeing him perform this song live last year was one of the most powerful live musical experiences of my life. It felt like a transcendent outpouring of emotional and spiritual healing, a therapeutic sensation that I hope I never forget.
