The martial snare cadence sets an ominous tone. The thunderous, rumbling suggests Thor himself using Mjolnir to pound out a life-threatening electro-magnetic pulse. The guitar isn't being played so much as it's being mercilessly strangled. On top of it all is the 12-steps-beyond-desperate wail of a man who threatens to combust and take the whole damn planet with him if she doesn't walk back through that door. This, my friends, is post-apocalyptic, scorch-the-earth blues that leaves a mark.   2
