“#80sinApril. Ok, ok, this song isn't technically an 80s song because it was released in 1979, but it gained its biggest prominence in the United States when it was the very first video to air on a new cable channel called Music Television, affectionately known as MTV, on August 1st, 1981. Music videos really defined so much of 1980s music for a young lad like myself, a genre that I so thoroughly enjoyed, so that's why I'm making this my last entry of "80s in April". Unfortunately, reality TV killed the video star in the 1990s...”

I really like the use of this song in this scene from the film Take This Waltz, the lovely Michelle Williams' marriage is in crisis and she is falling for her neighbour. Like the range of emotions on show and as the ride ends the song is cut short and they are back to reality. Hope the sound/picture quality is ok. The full song is here as the scene cuts it short. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iwuy4hHO3YQ By the way, sorry I didn't edit the picture, the jam looks terrible but it is ok once you play it! :)
