I guess it must be quite hard to produce a signature sound using electronic instruments, and I don't think you could ever mistake Burial's work for anyone else. Britain has the best electronic artists lets be honest, even my hometown now has Forest Swords! The Mercury Prize nominees have just been announced, so here's a track from an album that REALLY should have won (Radiohead don't need that 20 grand). As for this year, Bowie and the Arctic Monkeys not only don't need the money, they haven't made the best album. Shout out to Savages but it should be Jon Hopkins for me. Haxan Cloak, Boards Of Canada, Holden and Fuck Buttons all not nominated but Rudimental, boring Jake Bugg and Laura Mvula are??? WHAT THE FUCK! Er yeah back on topic, prizes or not I love Burial's work and you should too, just take one listen to those signature beats. Nighttime in London packaged in audio form   2

There was a period a few years ago where I felt compelled to listen to this bassline at odd moments, but eventually kicked the habit. I recently purchased some lovely new speakers to reward myself for kicking another habit (cigarettes, to be precise) and happened to play this to try them out. The bassline problem is back.
