The drum beat is so unique and interesting and works very well with the simple and repetitive bass line. The reversed lyrics are very interesting and something i havent see much of ever, infact. Especially for the 60s, this is a very unique song and i dont think anything this unique and happen again for awhile. This also goes for the whole album, but this song shines in that aspect.
My Top 10 Albums of All-Time ~ 9. Can - Tago Mago (1971) ~ So I won't pretend to have settled the time-honored Tago Mago vs. Ege Bamyasi debate... When I do a "best albums" list I treat the album as a singular and distinct piece of art, rather than a collection of songs. So while I find Ege Bamyasi to be the better collection of songs, Tago Mago is the superior album, years, if not decades, ahead of its time.
