I was fourteen or fifteen when Can came rolling into my life like a favoured but rarely seen uncle with a whispered about problem. I was already a massive Hawkwind, Sabbath, and Led Zep fan by this point and the angular arrangement and sometimes downright confusing breaks appealed to me in the same way that they still do today. Ege Bamyasi was my intro.
