“(2003) A little bit of guitar/drum/bass not-even-really-downtempo of the kind I lived for in the first five years of the millennium - the video gives me the same feeling of mass daily alienation as Royskopp's "Remind Me." It's off the MoS chillout albums. They have an electric guitar they get slidey with, an acoustic, and what sounds like an actual set of drums but might just be a nice piece of dynamic work on bits of the amen break. I'm paying more attention than usual to lyrics these days, and something about the slice-of-life internal dialogue that doesn't really care about a dude or anything else - and maybe something about the snare drum/cymbal stuff in the song's 2nd minute - elevates this past humdrum person-and-guitar. Alyssa Doe sings legato, a rarity even in 2003. It continually amazes me how flattened I get by complete sentences that carry over three or more lines - some part of me is so grateful that there's a lyricist worth a toss, even if the song isn't saying much.”
