So after a few listens I have concluded
"I Really Like You" is a completely worthy sequel to "Call Me Maybe"
I don't say that lightly.

Only just found out about this and I've since listened to it like, ten times on repeat. It's got that same kind of thumping undercurrent that made Call Me Maybe such a powerful piece of music. Her songwriting team is onto a good thing.
