Hunger Games, now with added Chvrches.
One of the best songs off the Mockingjay soundtrack. Love it :)
#Top31Tracksof2014: The companion soundtracks to the various Hunger Games soundtracks have been consistently reliable for damn good original songs by great artists for three years, now, and the Lorde-curated "Mockingjay, Part 1" disc is especially great. The centrepiece comes very early on from, who else, rising electro-pop outfit CHVRCHES. "Dead Air" applies the sound that they cultivated on "The Bones Of What You Believe" to the world of The Hunger Games to excellent effect, crafting lyrics that befit the source material yet stand on their own, a hook that can be lodged in one's brain for days, and a soaring, anthemic chorus where Lauren Mayberry's vocals sound like a thousand fists punching the air in an outburst of unrestrained emotion. Excellent stuff. #bestof2014
Love how catchy this is. Reminds me of early Madonna songs.
