I can't believe this came out 10 years ago today! Coldplay's 'X&Y;' was arguably the most hyped British rock album since Oasis's 'Be Here Now' in 1997, and the band took nearly three years tweaking it, dithering to the point that Capitol Records took the unusual step of issuing them with a profits warning on behalf of shareholders. In the end, 'X&Y;' was bloated and overly long, but contained a handful of gems like this one - the Kraftwerk homage 'Talk'.
This song is a journey through my life, the past, present and future. Dreams, memories and fears. Beautiful things and frightening things. I'm so scared about the future, and I wanna talk to you.
I will go on a holiday for the next two weeks, so unfortunately there won't be a new jam during these weeks.
