David Crosby came to talk at my college senior year mostly about being in recovery. He talked about how he ride around driving 100+ mph doing speedballs with a loaded gun under his seat. During Q&A after a bunch if questions a young man stick up and you could tell he just Could Not Process. His voice cracked a little as he asked, quietly, "even during Wooden Ships?" And David had to say, sadly, "Yea, even during Wooden Ships,". Recovery sucks.
Wonderful how well their voices still sound.
They sure managed a lot of great stuff before Neil Young arrived. This is from the time when Stephen Stills was king.
