very repetitive, yet still catchy
There is never a time that this song doesn't pick me up.
Daft Punk won the 2013 Grammys for Album of the Year for Random Access Memories and Record of the Year for "Get Lucky", along with three other awards. I think that calls for a massive celebration. When I first heard Daft Punk back in 2001, it was unlike anything prior heard. Space, music, and communication at the turn of the 21st century had been gifted to me by two Frenchman who dressed as robots. As I grow more appreciative of just how influential Daft Punk has become over the years, their music resonates further, bathing me in a sea of synthetic warmth beneath the hot lights of the discotheque. So, from the Discovery album, I have chosen "Superheroes". Sampling Barry Manilow's "Who's Been Sleeping in my Bed?" in a massively impressive way, the song conflicts between the minor baseline and the major synths back and forth with tight concentration. This song commands you to dance with a power-driven sound. Congratulations on a well deserved win, Daft Punk. You keep rocking forever.
Something is in the air.
Recently discovered this song, effin' genious stuff.
