The breadth of Damon Albarn's talent never ceases to enchant me. I love how simple but haunting this track is.
The pain of regret, the fear of reconciliation, and the anger of what should have been...and realizing that everything will be OK in the first place...
I'm hopelessly addicted to Damon Albarn's debut solo album at the moment, with this song being my favorite track on there. It's a singer-songwriter confessional with classic Scott Walker-esque undertones melded together with an intimate alternative/hip-hop-oriented number. The mixing of the two styles and stories while maintaining a natural flow is very impressive.
