David Bowie's 8th album 'Diamond Dogs' was released 40 years ago today! While it's far from being his best, it's crucial to the Bowie story. It was a transitional album, linking the glam of Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane to the coked-out white-boy soul of Young Americans and the late-'70s 'Berlin trilogy'.
