I don't know what it is about this song, but I will buy any cover version of it that I become aware of. With so many other great Bowie songs, I am mystified by its effect on me.

6.Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps) released in 1980 includes the fastest selling single to date for David, accompanied by the most expensive music video ever made thus far. Continuing my countdown of my ten favourite David Bowie songs in chronological order. "Ashes to Ashes" includes the reemergence of Major Tom a decade after "Space Oddity". The signature sound in this album is the combination of David's deadpan tone with guitar synthesisers.
OK, my #47 album is Scary Monsters by Bowie. I couldn't jam the track I really wanted but this will do nicely (perhaps I'll try for the other one on LetsLoop eh?)
