Dead Man Walking by David Bowie
“Live Bowie week An acoustic version of a song off "Earthling." During the interview he was asked his approach to making his current music, which was industrial and heavily produced. He said every song must start with a solid melody that can be played any number of ways. To demonstrate he took one of his most electronic songs and stripped it down to just the melody.”

I will go to bat for Earthling, David Bowie's much-maligned 1997 foray into drum'n'bass/electronica.
Latter Day Bowie Week continues with this club-ready single featuring Jimmy Page's riff from "The Supermen."
i get to post my fave version of david. it's kind of an apocalyptical little prince of sorts. happy bday!
The acoustic version here is really great. Late 90's Bowie is underrated, IMHO.
