Merely because I have had this song going through my head for the last week and can't get it out

Hello playmates! The good ship Bristow, still becalmed in 80s waters. Scotland. A wee place, populated by some 5 million souls. Fitba' (Football). The world's most popular sport. We are a footballing nation, but to be honest, we're pretty crap at it. Music. Now, this is an area where we Pictish descendents, punch way above our weight. Ask @lindatee Why that gal posts so much Scottish stuff, she'd vote Yes in the referendum. I digress. Any band named after a Steely Dan song, will grab my attention. After their astounding '87 debut, Raintown, boy did they have an act to follow. I could have picked anything from that. However, for sheer pluckiness in the face of potential 'one album infamy', I believe this wee number to be an absolute pop triumph. The album too, is indeed a fine sophomore. I'm a sucker for a clever line in a song. This has one of my all time faves. "Tell me why, James & Bobby Purify". Simple. Superb. This makes the 80s by only 7 months. Don't think I'm leaving just yet...   54
