Nick influenced my music taste forever. I won't ever forget sitting in that shitty accord and hearing AFI for the first time. He played hackneyed guitar chords on the steering wheel during Fishbowl. He and I both knew he didn't know the chords, but that passion was very endearing to me. We hadn't been close, which I regret now, but I hope even for his sake there's something after. I know he'd be doing that goofy fucking laugh at all of us. Rest well.
