A Rock/Synth/Pop masterpiece. From Violator (1990), their best album. I particularly enjoy the way the repeated lyrics change meaning with different underlying chords.

Heard this the other day and was transported back to the early 90's..me and a pal "borrowed" her brothers cassette of Violater and played it to death..2 little ravers & closet Depeche Mode fans..good times

#4 #top10DepecheMode Off the album Violator released in 1990. Now, it wasn't as popular as the other two singles off this album Personal Jesus and Enjoy the Silence, but this songs lyrics just hit a chord with me at the time. Truth isn't easy, it is actually the harder path to choose. ~"You will always wonder how, it could have been if you only lied"~ This video is also blocked, but you can watch it here :
