Right now we're gonna go back, waaaay back, back into time! 1989 to be precise, when I was all of 11 years old. Sadly I was too young to be hitting the warehouse parties during what was arguably the most exciting period ever for electronic music, but damn I made up for it a decade later :)
First time I heard this absolute killer track was at a Blowpop night at the 'World Famous' Blue Mountain club in Bristol. I don't recall who played it - perhaps Saul Kane himself? No idea (there are no online listings for the club online, sadly) - but I was all over it as soon as I heard the bass kick in. After buying the 1994 DC album, I later picked up a second hand copy of Bounty Killers on 12" for a fiver or so, and was genuinely surprised that a record that sounded so fresh was actually recorded back in '89 - I had assumed that it was recorded at the same time as the LP.
I've heard people say they prefer to play it at 45RPM, but that's just bonkers ;)
