Longer description that I posted elsewhere:
So the original tune is downtempo, enjoyably melodic and well produced. But this remix gives it so much verve and raw power. At times it's like you're topping a turbulent whitewater rapid in a canoe with one hand in lightning rod pose trying to Shazam a melody from a boombox on a nearby shore. If that just sounds like brostep, don't worry, there's a clear sense of restraint. The tune is most important, not the melted faces. We could call it sidestep.
There's a fantastic remix by Flume (did I miss my chance with that whitewater metaphor?), too, but it substitutes the actual original melody with some admittedly gorgeous violins and electrofunk.
