Symphony No.9 in E flat, Op.70 - 3. by Dmitri Shostakovich

“Composed by an obsessive compulsive (he used to telephone the telephone company three or four times per day just to make sure that his 'phone was working), a work of Art which has vacillated between Socialist Realism and experimental Modernism since its first performance and a conductor who once referred to this symphony as 'a neat fancy cake'. One of my all time favourite symphonies, because it isn't 'neat'. Judge for yourself. Enjoy.”

This jam is special! The first and only time it’s been posted was by Bukowski in Sep 2014.
