Theme: "Fake" bands How to end this theme? Monkees? Gorillas? Nope. This muppett band was created partly so the original muppeteers could all play in a group together on the show. Dr. Teeth (Jim Henson) modeled after Dr. John, Sgt. Floyd Pepper (Jerry Nelson) modeled after Sgt. Pepper era George Harrison, oft wanting to be naked Janice (Richard Hunt) based on Janice Joplin, Zoot (David Goelz) a take on Zoot Simms, Lipps (Steve Whitmire) who was created so Steve could be in the band, and of course Animal (Frank Oz).
